Q. Do I need a USA Cycling Race license to compete or win a Championship?
A. Yes you will need a license to qualify for the Final and take a Championship Title, also One Day Licenses do not receive points , you must be an USA Cycling annual license holder. Licenses can be purchased on-Site for Class 2 and Class 3 Only.
Class 1 and Pro licenses must have an upgrade requested from USA Cycling at www.usacycling.org
Q. How many classes will there be?
A. 15 in DH Classes an official class listing is below this Q & A / Rules scroll down to the the Class Listings.
Q. How many races are counted in the overall points?
A. Your 7 highest points finishes will be counted toward the overal points race, this will include the series finals which is a double points race, you must have 5 races to and a USAC Annual License qualify for a Championship position as the GES is a Point Series.
Q. Who is responsible for reporting accuracy of the results?
A. The venues are ultimately responsible for the accuracy of the results. The GES points manager will give a best effort to spot any errors or anomolies.
Q. Can you upgrade classes during the series?
A. Yes. The new points structure allows you to upgrade classes and 50% of your points carry over to the new class.
Q. How will tie breakers be broken?
A. Any tie breakers that occur will be resolved via the results at the finals.
Q. Do I have to be at the finals?
A. To be in contingency for placing in the overal points series you must be at the finals.
Q. To whom do I report errors in the results?
A. Errors in the results need to be reported directly to the GES Director. GES points manager can be reached via the contact page.
The points breakdown for 2010 uses a varying points spread that decreases the further down the positions to a point to where everyone recieves the same amount of points. You can download the points break down below.

B) 5 races for minimum race attendance required to be awarded prizes at GES finals
C) One day USAC licenses will not be tracked in point’s standings.
