The points system selected for the 2008 Gravity East Series models that of the UCI but modified to suit the needs of the series. This website will be the official rules concerning the points system for the Gravity East Series.
Points FAQ
Q. How many classes will there be?
A. Fifteen classes will be used plus a 14 and under men and women catagory.
Q. How many races are counted in the overall points?
A. Your six highest points finishes will be counted toward the overal points race, this will include the series finals which is a double points race.
Q. Who is responsibly for reporting accuracy of the results?
A. The venues are ultimately responsible for the accuracy of the results. The GES points manager will give a best effort to spot any errors or anomolies.
Q. Can you upgrade classes during the series?
A. Yes. The new points structure allows you to upgrade classes and your points carry over to the new class.
Q. How will tie breakers be broken?
A. Any tie breakers that occur will be resolved via the results at the finals.
Q. Do I have to be at the finals?
A. To be in contingency for placing in the overal points series you must be at the finals.
Q. To whom do I report errors in the results?
A. Errors in the results need to be reported directly to the GES points manager. GES points manager can be reached via the contact page.
The points breakdown for 2008 uses a varying points spread that decreases the further down the positions to a point to where everyone recieves the same amount of points. You can download the points break down below.
